  • Moisture Update - January 3, 2024

    In the 90-days since October 6, 2023, temperatures have remained well above average, with many parts of the northern-half of the province seeing temperatures this warm less than once in 50 years. This, coupled with low precipitation accumulations, has resulted in virtually snow-free conditions across parts of all four of our agricultural regions.

    A tree hazard risk assessment is a systematic process designed to evaluate the potential dangers associated with trees, ensuring the safety of people and property. Municipalities, property owners, and individuals have a “duty of care” for trees, which includes ensuring their health, safety, and longevity.

  • Moisture Update - December 11, 2023

    Winter threatened to come early in late October, with a sudden drop in temperatures that was accompanied by early snow fall across parts of the Peace Region and through many areas lying between the Yellowhead Highway and the US border.
