Since the last report, above average temperatures have prevailed and we have experienced little widespread relief in the form of rain. During the last three weeks, most of Alberta's agricultural areas saw temperatures as high as 34-36°C.

Thirty degree weather and minimal precipitation has meant that crops across the province are starting to show signs of heat stress, like canola, while others are coming out of flowering prematurely or dropping tillers.

Precipitation has been quite hit and miss this week, ranging from areas that received over 20 mm to large areas that experienced no rain at all.
