    Harvest continued at a rapid pace last week, supported by a period of warmer than average temperatures over the last month. No weather delays were reported from the Peace Region over the past week.

    In the last week, precipitation across the province has been relatively light and highly variable. Scattered rains resulted in 3-10 mm through parts of the Peace Region.

  • Start Preparing for Your Farm's Future

    Although the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) is closed for applications until February 1, 2025, it's never a bad time to start preparing for your farm's future. 

    Given the high number of applications in 2024, strong demand is anticipated for 2025, which will be the final year of the program. While the 2025 application form will be available closer to the intake date, start planning your projects now for a greater chance at success in the next application cycle. 

  • Crop Report - August 27, 2024

    Harvest progress continues throughout the province, advancing by 17 per cent for all crops since the last report two weeks ago. Provincially, about 20 per cent of all crops have been combined, which is 8 per cent ahead of the 5-year average and 10 per cent ahead of the 10-year average.

  • Moisture Update - August 30, 2024

    Since August 20, 2024, the province has experienced significant precipitation events in the South, North West, and Peace Regions. Amounts in excess of 50 mm were reported in some areas.
