Crop Report, provided by the Government of Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation, as of June 20, 2023:

'Precipitation ranging from 0 to more than 175 mm across the province has substantially improved surface soil moisture conditions in most regions.

Since June 13, significant rains have fallen across a wide area of the province, from roughly Calgary in the south, extending as far north as the Southern portions of the Peace Region (Map 1). 

Local Silver Valley resident, Thomas Bolch, 7, saw the need for some change in his community and decided to take action!

Much needed rainfall has been experienced across Alberta, including some Northern parts of the province, in the past week.

' A provincial state of emergency was declared on May 6 due to the number of wildfires in the province, and ended on June 3. The wildfire situation in the northern areas of the province remains serious.

Credit Unions of Alberta has announced a new 'Women in Ag' Grant Program, offering two $10,000 grants to Alberta-based women who are currently working, or planning to work in, the agriculture industry to put towards their ag business' financial future.
