Saddle Hills County Community Development would like to share the latest information on how to access Alberta Suports services.

We are situated in the Central Peace Region of northwestern Alberta along the southern banks of the Peace River, right at the center of The Montney Gas Formation. The County has a diverse agricultural community and deposits of natural gas and oil.

Well … it’s more than just a counselor. The Community School Liaison Counselor (CSLC) program is intended to promote children’s social and emotional development; to enhance collaborative work between community, school and family; to enhance family member’s social and emotional well-being and promote children’s academic development.

Saddle Hills County has published two new videos produced by Billi Comstock of Billi Alberta featuring Saddle Hills County in the winter. The videos appear on the County's social media pages: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin.

It is the responsibility of a landowner to contact the County prior to any proposed work in the County’s rights-of-way. This includes items like approach construction or modifications, new or deepening of existing ditches, brushing, or any other work on developed or undeveloped rights-of-way.

Alberta Wildfire urges anyone doing winter burning to ensure their piles have been fully extinguished. If fires are not properly put out, they can spread and burn underground, even under the snow and ice, all winter.

Saddle Hills County Council announced this week that the County will remove the $10,000 rural potable water connection fee for hooking up to the County’s potable water system and reimburse all the customers who have paid (or are paying) the fee.

South Peace Rural Community Learning  (SPRCL), received funding from the Alberta Government to allow them to put a satellite office in the Resource Room of the Rycroft Municipal Library.
