'The Wilderness is our Back Yard' - Winners of the 2024 Photo Contest Announced
The winners of the 2024 'The Wilderness is our Back Yard' Photo Contest were announced at the annual Photo Contest Reception, held on November 28, 2024, at the County Administration Building.
Participants and their families joined staff and Councillors for an evening viewing of the submissions and the presentation of awards.
Reeve Kristen Smith was present to announce the winners, aided in the presentation of Overall Winner by last year's winner, Anna Richard.
The exhibition is still available for viewing at the Christmas at the County event, to be held on December 5, 2024.
Each of the winners received a cheque and certificate and will have their images featured online, in the County calendar, and in various other publications. The overall winner also received a framed copy of the winning image and is invited to participate as a judge during next year's contest.

Overall Winner
This year's Overall Winner was a first for Saddle Hills County, seeing a youth participant, Kaz Kaiser, take the top spot. Congratulations, Kaz!
While Kaz wasn't able to be at the event to accept the award, his mother, Mallory, was there to accept it on his behalf.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's contest and braved the storm to attend the event. It was, yet again, a pleasure to see the amazing talent on display in our community and we can't wait to see what you have for us next year!
