Fire Advisory in Effect - April 16, 2025

As a result of the high temperatures and drying conditions, the Fire Danger Rating in Saddle Hills County is now HIGH.

In response to this, Saddle Hills County has issued a FIRE ADVISORY, along with other local municipalities.

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is now limited to campfires, burning barrels, and hand-piled wood, two cubic metres or smaller.

Burn permits are still required and will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Saddle Hills Living Spring 2025 Newsletter - Now Available

The Saddle Hills Living Spring 2025 edition is now available and you should be receiving your copy shortly!

Saddle Hills County residents who receive their mail in the County should receive a copy in their mailbox this week. All of the Saddle Hills County general stores, and the Saddle Hills County Office also carry copies. Residents who receive their mail in Spirit River, should have received a flyer with details of how to sign up to receive copies of all our publications.

Don't forget that if you do not receive a mail copy this may be because you restrict your mail delivery or have a PO Box outside Saddle Hills County ie. in Spirit River. If you would like a copy delivered please ask us for a subscription and we'd be happy to send this to you, it's free for all Saddle Hills County residents.
