Reminder to Submit Receipts for Remote Potable Water Hauling in 2024

A reminder to residents eligible for the County's Remote Potable Water Hauling Subsidy in 2024, that the deadline to submit receipts is approaching.

Receipts for eligible charges incurred in 2024, must be submitted before January 31, 2025.

Eligible areas for 2024:

1. Gundy, from Township Road 770 to Township Road 752, and from Range Road 125 west to the B.C. border, as shown in the map below.
2. Properties located at NE 35-78-13-W6 and NE 07-78-13-W6.

Last year, eligible residents were required to complete a Remote Potable Water Hauling Subsidy Application to be included in the subsidy. This same form will now need to be completed with the inclusion of receipts to complete the claim. 

You must submit valid documentation showing the date the water was hauled or purchased within the year and the number of cubic meters purchased. This documentation will then be used to reimburse you.

Please note that the subsidy is funded once per residence, per calendar year and that the water must be for domestic use only.

The program began in 2024 and does not cover expenses incurred in 2023.
