Input on Regional Agricultural Advisory Committee

Help out our BC neighbours and regional agricultural community and express your interest in establishing an Agricultural Advisory Committee.

Are you involved in agriculture?
The Peace River Regional District is reaching out to determine the level of interest from producer groups and interested parties in re-developing an Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) for the Peace region.
The PRRD previously had an AAC from 2002 until 2018 which provided input on various matters related to agriculture throughout the region.
AACs act as an advisory body to local governments and can provide important insight on regional agricultural matters, such as Official Community Plans, Agricultural Plans or other regional plans and projects as necessary.
AACs do not make decisions on agricultural matters, rather they provide advice and recommendations to local governments as requested by the local government.
