Have Your Say on Challenges in the Ag Sector

Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation is seeking feedback from primary producers to better understand the challenges and barriers to growth being experienced in Alberta's agriculture sector. 

During the last few years, the agriculture sector and the province's producers have faced a variety of changes, including rising input costs, uncertainties in federal policy direction, volatile commodity prices, rising interest rates, and supply chain challenges.

Primary producers are invited to share their opinions on the cost of production, barriers to establishing, maintaining or growing an agriculture operation, and government policy or programming that would help support producers and a thriving agriculture sector. 

Feedback from the survey may help to inform future engagement, policy direction or program development.

Producers can share their input by completing an Online Survey, available until July 31, 2024.
