Farm Safety Week - Keeping Children Safe on the Family Farm
Growing up on or visiting a family farm is an incredible experience for kids.
However, as generational farmers you all know that there are numerous hazards and risks associated with farming life, so teaching your children safe farm practices from a young age is top priority.
Taking the time to teach all children who live on or visit the farm age appropriate tasks, establishing boundaries, and providing supervision will keep them safe and set them up for success as future farmers.
Lead by example by modelling safe practices and building traditions that involve safety. These steps will help keep kids safe on your farm and make safety part of your lasting legacy.
This Canadian Agricultural Safety Week, celebrate Your Farm, Your Family, Your Success.
