Equine Emergency Preparedness

With multiple wildfires burning throughout the province, the Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) Equine Emergency Help Directory is now available online through Alberta Agriculture. This directory connects horse owners in need with those who can provide emergency assistance.

How You Can Help:

If you have the means to assist equines in need, please fill out the Equine Emergency Assistance Form.

Please note, that Alberta Agriculture will not coordinate the transport of feed or horses. Direct coordination is required between those offering and those needing help.

If You Need Assistance:

Consult the Equine Emergency Help Directory for support.

Important Information:

  • The Equine Emergency Help Directory serves as a neutral platform for horse owners and service providers.
  • The Alberta Equestrian Foundation (AEF) does not screen participants or control service providers.
  • Interactions and transactions are the sole responsibility of horse owners and service providers. Exercise caution and independent judgement.

Support AEF Efforts:

Consider donating to the Equine Disaster Fund for ongoing support.
