County Receives Award from Alberta School Boards Association

Saddle Hills County's FCSS Department was honoured to have been nominated for the Alberta School Board Association's Zone One Friends of Education Award, by the Peace Wapiti Public School Division.

Alongside the County of Grande Prairie, Birch Hills County, and the MD of Greenview, Saddle Hills County's FCSS Department was nominated for the award, recognizing the departments commitment to our community schools.

The nomination letter stated that, "Each municipalities' department has been instrumental in supporting the mental health and well-being of PWPSD students. Students and families benefit from access to supports that enhance the social well-being of individuals, families, and communities through a prevention based approach."

As part of the nomination, two representatives from Saddle Hills County were invited to attend the award presentation luncheon, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 12 p.m.

Saddle Hills County FCSS Department provides a variety of services, and has contributed over $380,000 in funding over the past 15+ years.
