Be Prepared: Winter Travel

There is no doubt that winter now has us in it's icy claws. Stay safe this winter season and be prepared for travelling during cold weather.

#BePrepared for winter road conditions by:

  • Carrying a vehicle emergency kit with extra seasonal items, such as extra clothing and heat packs, to ensure you have items you may need in case of an emergency on the road. 
  • Knowing the risks of travelling during winter. Unless travel is absolutely necessary, stay off the roads during severe weather.  
  • Staying informed on road conditions with Alberta 511 before heading out for your trip. Depending on conditions, consider an alternate route or staying home.
