Be Prepared: Wildfire Evacuation
Active wildfires recorded across the province are increasing Albertan’s risk to disruption. Upcoming weather changes may impact the severity and growth of these wildfires and prompt sudden evacuation orders. #BePrepared by:
- Adding an emergency kit to your vehicle stocked with water, non-perishable food, phone chargers, clothes, copies of important documents, etc., in case you need to leave quickly.
- Keeping your fuel tank full or electric vehicle fully charged. If you do not have a vehicle, make a plan with friends or contact your local emergency management office for support.
- Downloading the Alberta Emergency Alert and Alberta Wildfire apps to stay informed on wildfire updates in the area.
- Before you travel, check Alberta 511 for current road conditions to ensure you arrive at your destination safely.
