Be Prepared: Connections are Key

Making community connections is an impactful way to build resiliency. #BePrepared by: 

  • Starting conversations with newcomers in your community to learn about them and inform them of common local hazards.   
  • Discussing who has first-aid training or access to a vehicle and create a shared contact list to stay connected and to make a plan if an emergency were to occur.  
  • Setting up a buddy system for tasks like picking up mail while you're away. Buddies can also help each other during emergencies.
