Be Prepared: Connections are Key
Making community connections is an impactful way to build resiliency. #BePrepared by:
- Starting conversations with newcomers in your community to learn about them and inform them of common local hazards.
- Discussing who has first-aid training or access to a vehicle and create a shared contact list to stay connected and to make a plan if an emergency were to occur.
- Setting up a buddy system for tasks like picking up mail while you're away. Buddies can also help each other during emergencies.
Connected communities are resilient communities. Learn more about how you can prepare for emergencies with Be Prepared programming and resources.
