Annual Ditch Mowing Underway

Saddle Hills County’s Ag Services Department is currently mowing ditches on County rights-of-way, beginning in the Woking area and moving west in the coming weeks.

The Agricultural Services Department conducts their annual mowing program on County road allowances, using a 3 year rotational cycle, to ensure effective weed and pest control for the entirety of the County.

If you encounter the tractor and mower while it is cutting, please proceed with caution and yield to oncoming traffic.

Please note, that Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is responsible for mowing on all provincial highways.

If you have any questions about the Ditch Mowing Program or Weed Control in the County, please reach out to us ay ag@saddlehills.ab.ca or call (780) 864-3760
