Annual Assessment Inspections Begin

To our valued property owners and lessees in Saddle Hills County

Notice is hereby given as per section 294 of the Municipal Government Act that Saddle Hills County Assessment Department will be conducting annual inspections of property for the 2024 tax year.

All properties within Saddle Hills County are reviewed on a five-year re-inspection cycle to ensure that assessment information remains current. In addition, property inspections may be conducted by Saddle Hills County Assessors at any time due to circumstances such as development, reported changes to property, and/or a sale of property to ensure that assessment information remains current and as accurate as possible.

The Saddle Hills County Assessment Department strives to value property as fairly and accurately as possible in relation to similar properties, and in accordance with the Provincial Legislation, Regulations, and Guidelines. An inspection ensures that all characteristics affecting the property are considered in its valuation. 

Our Assessors will be working throughout Saddle Hills County reviewing property assessments from now to the end of the year. Inspections will take place during regular office hours Monday to Friday 8.15 am to 4.30 pm.

Assessors will have Saddle Hills County identification that you can request to see at any time and they will be driving a Saddle Hills County vehicle identifying them as employees of the County. Additionally, requests for assessment information may be conducted by Saddle Hills County Assessors via email, phone, or mail and a door hanger package left at your door if you are not home at the time of our inspection. 

Our Assessors want to make the process as easy as possible for all of our residents and landowners and are happy to talk to you at any point to arrange a visit, discuss your assessment or address any concerns you may have.
