Alberta Matching Crowdfunding Donations

The Government of Alberta is increasing its matching donations to organizations hosting fundraising campaigns on the Crowdfunding Alberta online platform.

Crowdfunding Alberta connects Alberta's non-profit organizations with supporters and donors for fundraising campaigns. Organizations can easily showcase their projects and share them with the networks and communities and Albertans who want to support causes that are meaningful to them can search, support, and share campaigns.

To further support these non-profits during the giving season the Government of Alberta will match funds raised on the platform up to $5,000 annually. Organizations can access this fund-matching commitment year round.

180 campaigns have successfully been run on the platform since 2021. All non-profits and charities on the platform are pre-screened to ensure donations are going to legitimate and credible Alberta-based organizations and the causes they support.
