2025 Municipal Election

2025 is a Municipal Election year.

Key Information:

• The nomination period for the 2025 Municipal Election opened on January 1, 2025 and closes on September 22, 2025, at 12 p.m. 
• The next Municipal Election will be held on October 20, 2025, with an Advance Vote held on October 13, 2025. 
• New for this year, voters are encouraged to register to vote in advance, by visiting voterlink.ab.ca. 

Due to changes made to the Local Authorities Election Act, this year's Municipal Election will run slightly differently to elections in the past.
