2025 Capital Grant Presentation
Recipients of Saddle Hills County's Capital Grants, over $25,000, were in attendance at Council on February 11, 2025, to be presented with their funds.
Grant recipients included:
- the Bonanza & District Agricultural Society, who are planning to use their $194,829.30 to add synthetic lanes to the Bonanza Bowling Alley, apply 125 yards of gravel, install a roof over the bleachers and replace lumber;
- the Gordondale Community Club, who received $76,500 for an air conditioning unit and gravel for landscaping;
- the Happy Hour Club of Spirit River, who will be spending their $31,500 on residing and insulating their current building;
- the Happy Valley Ag & Recreation Club, whose $26,708.37 will be used to create a permanent round corral, expand fencing, sand the arena, purchase folding tables, replace the shed door, and install a manure storage facility, dog kennel, signage, and a sea can;
- the Horseshoe of the Peace Historical Society, who will be using their $50,490 to place a concrete pad under the memorial area at the Savanna Rec. Plex, as well as creating sidewalks to connect the memorial to the building and the grounds to the south; and
- the Woking Multiplex Association, who received $122,594.25 to combine and replace several furnace units, and replace ceiling tiles and lighting.
