2023 'Discover the Peace' Photo Contest Judging Begins!

It's that time, again. Judging for the 2023 'Discover the Peace' Photo Contest has officially begun!

Cast your vote to ensure that your favourites are in with a chance of winning one of our incredible cash prizes and having their work featured in the 2024 County Calendar.

There will be prizes awarded in both Public and Judges' Choice (12 prizes total)

1st Place: $150 | 2nd Place: $100 | 3rd Place: $75

Please remember, that this year, along with photographs, participants have submitted answers to the question, 'What do you love most about living in Saddle Hills County/the Peace Region?', which should be considered when casting your vote.

How to Vote

There are many different ways to vote in this years contest so that all residents can have their opinions heard.

Social Media - You can cast your vote in the usual way, by liking your favourite photographs on our two dedicated social media pages @shcphotocontest. Facebook | Instagram
Online - You can also vote using our fillable Photo Contest Voting Form. Download the form and complete it by checking the boxes underneath your favourite images. You can then email the completed form to communications@saddlehills.ab.ca to have your vote counted.

In Person/Mail - If you are unable to vote using the methods above you can also vote in person by visiting the County Office and filling in a paper version of the Photo Contest Voting Form or by printing the form and mailing it to us. Paper forms can be completed here and handed in to the office or mailed to us at Communications Coordinator, Saddle Hills County, RR1, Spirit River, AB. T0H 3G0.

Phone Call - If you would like to cast your vote but cannot make it to the County Office or vote online, you can call our Communications Coordinator at (780) 864-3760 and let them know over the phone which images you would like to vote for.

The deadline for Public Voting is October 2, 2023.

The Judges will then cast their votes after this time and a winner will be announced at a later date, to be determined.
