The Alberta Association of Agricultural Fieldmen (AAAF) has five $1,000 bursaries available to eligible Alberta students studying a post-secondary course in an agricultural or environmental sciences program.

The AAAF Memorial Bursary is available annually, with five $1,000 bursaries awarded, one in each region of Alberta. The bursary was established as an ongoing tribute to active or retired AAAF members who pass away, and in the spirit of continuing education valued by the association.

Eligible students must be:

  • An Alberta resident
  • Accepted or currently attending a post-secondary institution in Alberta
  • Accepted or currently enrolled in an agricultural or environmental sciences related program
  • Have not already been awarded this bursary in another region within Alberta

Although the following are not requirements, they will be considered priorities:

  • Students that have not received the bursary before
  • Students entering their first year of post-secondary education
  • Students that have worked for a rural municipality in the past

The application form and all supporting documentation should be completed by September 1, 2023 and submitted to an Agricultural Fieldman in good standing or via email to info@aaaf.ab.ca
