Spring Lake Ski Hill
The Spring Lake Ski Hill is located northwest of Hythe, in the County of Grande Prairie. The concept of a ski hill at Spring Lake was conceived in the mid-80s. There was immense community support for the project and dreams began to become reality in 1987, with the help of funding from an Alberta Government grant.
The first skier was welcomed on January 25, 1990 and the hill hosted the Northwest Winter Games in February 1990.
It is an ideal place to learn to ski in the winter, and serves as a great option for family recreation in the summer months.
The facility is has recently undergone renovations and re-opens December 27 - 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
