Saddle Hills County is located in the Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) and is proud to be home to two exceptional rural schools, located in Bonanza and Savanna.

Bus transportation is provided to both schools through PWPSD.

Bonanza School

Bonanza School runs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, from which time students are bused to Savanna School for Grades 9-12 or to Dawson Creek. 

The school features a municipal library, one-to-one chromebooks and ipads, and a gymnasium. Programs including speech language therapy, Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI), Toe by Toe reading, Empower Reading, technology programs, Makerspace, and a mid-week hot lunch program.

Sports offered include soccer, badminton, t-ball, basketball, and volleyball.

Savanna School

Savanna School runs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The school features a gym, weight room, High School Band, low student-teacher ratio, digital devices for students, on-site daycare/pre-school, indoor rock climbing wall, greenhouses, and large outdoor play area and courts. Programs including hands-on learning opportunities through a variety of Career and Technology Foundation (CTF) courses, foods and outdoor education, fitness programs, yearbook, work experience, student council, swimming, speech language therapy, and Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI).

Sports offered include volleyball and basketball teams, badminton, community hockey, and running club.
