Roads
In Saddle Hills County, roads are one of our top priorities. We have over 1,900 km of gravel and asphalt paved roads that we maintain.
Please note that Saddle Hills County is not responsible for Provincial Highways. This includes Highways 2, 49, 677, 680, 681, 719, 724, 725, 727, and 731. For concerns and questions regarding these routes, please call 1-800-828-3908.
We carry out yearly maintenance programs to ensure the high quality of our roads, including a Dust Control Program, Gravel Program, and Snowplowing Program.
We also lease, license, and sell County Road Allowances, and will issue information on Road Alerts and Closures or Road Bans due to construction, maintenance, or other issues.
You can sign-up to our Voyent Alert! service for real time updates and notifications directly to your phone or preferred method of communication.
Every year, Saddle Hills County registers local contractors interested in providing Privately Owned Equipment services, such as gravel hauling.
If you have any concerns or questions about our roads, you can fill out our Report an Issue form or contact the Operations Department at (780) 864-3760 or email operations@saddlehills.ab.ca
