Peace River Survey Closes Dec 13

Peace River Survey Closes Dec 13
Posted on 11/28/2019
A survey has been created so that those who were unable to attend the open houses on the future of recreation and tourism on the Peace River can still have their voices heard.

Take the Survey.

Are you interested in the future of recreation and tourism on the Peace River between the Town of Peace River and the BC border? If so, please take a moment to share your ideas with us. Please also share this with your members, colleagues, friends and family.

The Peace Valley Conservation, Recreation and Tourism Society (PVCRTS) has contracted RC Strategies+PERC to lead the development of the Peace River Recreation and Tourism Access Study. The study will identify strategies and actions that should be taken in order to enhance the recreation quality and tourism potential of the river.~ The study will form the strategic focus and priorities of the PVCRTS for the next ten years.

To date, we have engaged members of the public and stakeholders through an interactive online mapping website, stakeholder interviews and meetings and three open houses which were held in region on November 18, 19 and 20th. Unfortunately, attendance at the open houses was less than expected.

We want to ensure you and your colleagues can share your ideas and, as such, we have extended the engagement program. In response to recommendations from some attendees at the open houses, we are pleased to provide an online survey as an additional opportunity to share your input.

The survey, which asks the same questions as posed to attendees at the open houses, will be available until December 13, 2019 at 430 pm (MT). Please visit the following website to share your input:

Thank you in advance for helping us shape recreational access to and the future of recreation and tourism on the Peace River. Should you have any questions about this initiative, you are encouraged to contact Sandra Fox, CAO with the MD of Fairview, via email at or via phone at 780 835 4903.
