Larry and Janice Rudy were honoured November 10 at the BMO Farm Family Awards in Edmonton. They were accompanied by Reeve Alvin Hubert representing Saddle Hills County. The Rudy's were nominated by the County for their deep roots in the County and their long-standing contributions to the agricultural community and the community at large.


The Rudy's were
recognized as one of 11 family-run farming operations throughout Alberta for their outstanding contributions to agriculture and their community.  

Speaking to the County on Thursday, Larry Rudy said, " We were very excited and thankful to the County to be nominated for this award. We were honoured to receive it."

About the BMO Farm Family Awards

For 49 years, farm families from northern and central Alberta communities have been recognized as the recipients of the BMO Farm Family Award. The Northern and Central Agricultural Service Boards select outstanding families who best represent values of the family farm within their rural community. The award honours both their farming business practices and community involvement. Winners receive a commemorative gate sign and are honoured at the BMO Farm Family Awards Gala.
