Due to Hot and Dry Conditions with Forecast Gusty Winds, areas of exposed cured fuels pose a significant wildfire risk. The Fire Hazard is also now Very High. As a result, Fire Restrictions are now in effect for Saddle Hills County. Effective immediately.

Open burning of heavy fuels is not allowed and No Fireworks Permits will be issued in Saddle Hills County at this time.

Please exercise caution when conducting activities in dry cured fuels.

Safe campfires are allowed in fire pits in campgrounds or in residential fire pits. No campfires (or other open fires) or charcoal briquettes are allowed in back country or random camping areas. Gas or propane stoves / barbeques and portable propane fire pits are allowed.

Please make sure your campfire is completely extinguished when you leave it (Soak It, Stir It, Soak It Again).

Clear debris from hot spots on your Off-Highway Vehicle (Knock It Off).

The Fire Restrictions will remain in place until conditions improve.

If the fire hazard continues to worsen, a complete fire ban will be issued.
