Saddle Hills County is pleased to make available the ‘Winter on Wapiti’ exhibition featuring the art of Robert Guest. The works, provided by The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, are on display at the County Complex.

The exhibition was curated by Todd Schaber through the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie. The exhibition was first displayed at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie in 1989.

The material was donated by the artist to the gallery’s Permanent Collection.

Created during a four-year project (1984-1989) along the river bank of the Wapiti River, the collection covers about ten miles from Iroquois Creek to Calihoo Creek. The artist painted 67 works to document his journey and 20 of those were chosen for this exhibition.
