Alberta Women in STEM Scholarship

October is Women's History Month and, as we all know, Alberta's women are leaders.

During this month, October 8 -14, 2023 is Women in STEM week and accordingly Alberta's government has opened applications for the Women in STEM Scholarship.

Women make up about half of Alberta's population but represent only about one-third of enrollments in STEM programs and about one-quarter of employees in STEM fields. The scholarship hopes to help increase these numbers by supporting women pursuing careers in STEM, gaining them valuable skills for today's economy and preparing them for their future careers. The scholarship total of $125,000 will grant each successful applicant $2,500 to support their studies, funding a total of 50 applicants.

Application intake closes on December 8, 2023.
