Dust Control

Each year Saddle Hills County offers dust control treatments on roads in front of residences. Applications are made available each spring, until May 15, as outlined in Policy PW01.

The rates for residential and industrial Dust Control are laid out in the Master Rates Bylaw. The County also funds a portion of Dust Control, in areas approved by Council on an annual basis (as can be seen below). 

The County will advertise online, through our social media platforms, and the Central Peace Signal, when these applications are available.

The Dust Control Rates as of 2023 are:

• Residential: $200.00 (plus GST) per 100 meters, with a maximum length of 400 meters
• Industrial: Actual Cost ($670.00 (plus GST) per 100 meters, with a minimum length of 100 meters

If you would like to apply to have the County complete dust control in front of your residence, please complete a Dust Control Application either online or at the County office during regular business hours. Please note, that residents are required to provide payment before Dust Control services can be completed.
