Update on MDP and LUB Project

Update on MDP and LUB Project
Posted on 08/15/2017
Saddle Hills County began the process of public consultation regarding its Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB) in May of 2017 and held four open houses throughout the County during the month of June.

This provided an opportunity for residents to review the policies of the bylaw/plan and to further discuss issues or concerns which they may have had respecting future land use in the area.

Public participation was important and the feedback appreciated both in terms of the quantity and quality of the information and comments provided.

This completes the first phase of our community engagement for the MDP and LUB updates. Thank you to all County residents and stakeholders who attended the open houses in June and/or shared your feedback through the Community Planning Survey.

The Phase 1 Engagement Summary can be viewed here

We Are Here (Phase 2)
We are now in Phase 2 – Draft Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw of the project. During this phase, the project team will be drafting policies and updates for the Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw based on feedback heard during the open houses and through the Community Planning Survey.
