Seniors' Housing Open House In Savanna Well-Attended

The Open House regarding the Seniors Housing Study was well-attended in Savanna Wednesday evening.

More than 50 people filled the Savanna Rec Plex to hear from representatives the Headwater Group who are performing a Seniors' Housing Study in the Central Peace Region to determine the current and anticipated needs housing needs for seniors.

Open Houses were held in the Village of Rycroft, the Town of Spirit River, Birch Hills County and Saddle Hills County in order to present and discuss the survey and provide residents with the opportunity to fill out either a hard copy of the survey or fill one out online at any one of the open houses.

Reeve Alvin Hubert welcomed residents and spoke of the hopes which Saddle Hills County Council and other municipalities in the Central Peace have for being able to provide better housing options for seniors in the region.
