Road Maintenance

Saddle Hills County road maintenance is conducted in accordance with the guidelines and standards as outlined in the Grader Maintenance Standards Policy.

Summer Operations

During the summer months, the Engineering and Infrastructure Department completes a wide range of road maintenance programs including: dust control; graveling; culvert and approach installations; ditch cleaning; and, sign replacements. Winter Operations

During the winter months, the Engineering and Infrastructure Departments completes a wide range of road maintenance programs including culvert steaming, flooding and erosion control, and snowplowing.

Snow plowing of driveways is done in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Snowplowing Driveways Policy.

Beginning in the winter of 2015, seniors and disabled residents will no longer be required to obtain snowplow flags. Seniors and disabled residents will need to sign a Snowplowing Agreement before winter operations begin.After signing a Snowplowing Agreement, seniors and disabled residents will have their driveways plowed in conjunction with the winter road maintenance program.

All other residents are required to purchase snowplow flags as well as complete a Snowplowing Agreement before plowing will be done.These driveways will be done after the roads as outlined in PW14 are completed.
