All Council meetings are open for the public to attend, except during ‘In-Camera’ Sessions. The County Complex Council Chambers has a gallery section of seats available to the public for viewing purposes.
Saddle Hills County Council Meetings follow the Municipal Government Act and the Council Procedure Bylaw and are held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, except for the month of December, or as ratified by Council.
Special Meetings are held following the Municipal Government Act Section 194.
The Organizational Meeting is held following the Municipal Government Act Section 192; annually every October. This is where Council elects the Reeve and Deputy Reeve for the year and many Council appointments to Committees and Boards are made.
All Councillors take an Oath of Office when elected and annually as the Reeve and Deputy Reeve.
Regular Council agendas are available on the website, in compliance with the Council Procedure Bylaw.
Council minutes will be made available electronically once adopted by Council and signed.
